Today Oswaldtwistle School went back to Harwes Farm in Colne.
Before lockdown Gemma and Bernadette used to take a group of KS3 pupils to the farms to learn about and work with the animals living on the land, they also had opportunity to help with fencing, planting and learn new skills at the Forest School.
Today saw the return of 3 of our young people and a new member of staff...Larissa had joined the fun whilst Bernadette made sure she stayed healthy.
As it was the first time everybody was back together again, the pupils caught up with each other - a safe distance apart of course - and the staff at the farm. Aoife got a good walk in with one of our pupils before going back to dig some holes for pumpkins. Over at the Forest School the pupils collected some kindling and wood and set a fire going before stopping for lunch.
It was a great day in the beautiful outdoors, all were well behaved and got to show off their skills. They even got to feed and cuddle the hens.....
